University of the Pacific offers students the opportunity to complete a pre-law minor, which consists of six courses that are also aimed at helping to prepare students for the rigors of law school. 

General Requirements for the Pre-Law Minor
A pre-law minor is designed to prepare students for the rigors of law school. The pre-law minor is expected to take six courses for a minimum of 21 units, 12 of which must be taken at Pacific.

  1. A total of at least 21 units must be taken to complete the minor (6 courses).
  2. Only 2 courses can be transferred from a community college, and none can fulfill the Area I requirement.
  3. At least 12 of the 21 units taken for the pre-law minor must be taken at Pacific.
  4. No more than 3 courses can be taken from a single academic department.
  5. All courses must be taken for a grade.
  6. Courses with grades lower than a C- will not be counted.
  7. Students must fill out a minor request form to declare the minor.
  8. Students must fill out a completion form when they finish the minor.
